Award-winning artist Wizkid has officially released his highly anticipated single “Piece of My Heart,” featuring American singer-songwriter Brent Faiyaz.
The track, which dropped on Friday, serves as the lead single from Wizkid’s forthcoming album, Morayo, slated for release on November 22.
The Grammy-winning musician announced the single’s release on his Instagram, exciting fans eager for new music. “Piece of My Heart” beautifully blends Wizkid’s signature Afrobeats sound with Brent Faiyaz’s R&B influences, creating a captivating collaboration.
Produced by P2J and Dpat, the song is characterized by smooth, heartfelt lyrics that express deep love, passion, and commitment. Faiyaz’s emotional chorus, “Nothing can tear us apart, you’ve got a piece of my heart,” is complemented by Wizkid’s compelling vocal delivery, enhancing the track’s emotional resonance.
Though Wizkid has not released solo music in a while, he has made appearances in a few collaborations this year, including “MMS” with Asake from the album Lungu Boy and “Work Me Out” with Shenseea on her album Never Gets Late Here.
