Los Angeles, CA – February 24, 2024 – A prominent American philanthropist has thrown her weight behind the charitable initiatives of Erelu Ngozi Adeleke, the wife of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke. Chief Dr. Magdalene Nwaka Agada, President and Founder of Open Hands Amazing Charitable Organization, commended the recent launch of a skills acquisition program for young women in Osun by Erelu Adeleke’s foundation, the Esther Adeleke Humanitarian Foundation.

News of the endorsement comes amidst growing attention to the foundation’s efforts in empowering young women in the Nigerian state. On February 14th, the organization launched a transformative program aimed at training and equipping 30 young women with various vocational skills and providing them with start-up funds to launch their own businesses.

Dr. Agada, a respected figure in both the US and Nigeria, expressed her wholehearted support for the initiative in a statement released on Friday, February 23rd. “I heartily congratulate the Osun First Family on the successful launch of this laudable program,” she said. “This initiative will not only impart important skills but also provide the beneficiaries with the means to become self-sufficient and contribute positively to their families and communities.”

The American philanthropist went further, pledging “unalloyed support” from both herself and her organization, Open Hands Amazing Charitable Organization, for Erelu Adeleke’s philanthropic endeavors. She specifically highlighted the empowerment program for young women, emphasizing its potential to pave the way for a more prosperous Osun State where both men and women have equal opportunities to contribute to the state’s development.

Dr. Agada’s endorsement adds to the growing momentum behind the Esther Adeleke Humanitarian Foundation’s work. The organization’s focus on empowering young women aligns with broader trends in international development, where investing in female entrepreneurship is recognized as a key driver of economic growth and social progress.
