In a significant move to bolster national security, Ukraine has imposed restrictions on the use of Telegram among its government, military, and security personnel.
On Friday, the National Security and Defence Council announced the decision, emphasizing that the app, founded by Russian-born Pavel Durov, poses “threats” to national security. The council’s statement, shared on Facebook, highlighted the seriousness of the situation, stating, “The use of Telegram is restricted in government agencies, military formations, and critical infrastructure facilities.”
This action reflects Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to safeguard sensitive information and maintain operational security amid heightened tensions and security challenges.
