Two Nigerian Airports Recognized for Excellence in Emergency Management and Resilience

The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and the Port Harcourt International Airport have received prestigious awards from Airport Council International (ACI) for their outstanding commitment to emergency management and resilience.

In a statement released on Friday during the Gala Night at the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa, Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, announced that both airports were honored with plaques.

The awards were presented by ACI Africa Secretary-General Ali Tounsi and ACI Africa President Emmanuel Chaves. Moshood emphasized that these accolades reflect the dedication and hard work of all individuals involved in ensuring excellence in airport operations, particularly highlighting the efforts of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

“These prestigious awards are a testament to the unwavering commitment and diligent work of everyone involved in delivering top-notch airport emergency management and resilience,” the statement noted.

This recognition serves as a point of pride for Nigeria’s aviation sector, underscoring the commitment to providing safe and efficient travel experiences for passengers.
