Tinubu Makes Key Appointments in Communication and Digital Economy Agencies

President Bola Tinubu has given his nod to the appointment of ten executive heads across various agencies under the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.

These appointments are expected to bolster the operations and effectiveness of these agencies in driving the nation’s digital economy.
The announcement came through a statement titled “President Tinubu reconstitutes management teams in agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy,” signed by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

Leading the list of appointments is Abraham Oshadami, who has been appointed as the Executive Commissioner of Technical Services at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Rimini Makama will assume the position of Executive Commissioner of Stakeholder Management, while Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi will take charge as the President and CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute.

At the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT), Abiodun Attah has been named as the Executive Director of Technical Services, Aisha Abdullahi as the Executive Director of Finance & Administration, and Jaiyeola Awokoya as the Executive Director of Marketing & Business Development.

Furthermore, the President has appointed Ibrahim Adeyanju as the Managing Director/CEO of Galaxy Backbone Limited, along with three executive directors. Mohammed Ibrahim will serve as the Executive Director of Finance & Corporate Services, Olusegun Olulade will take on the role of Executive Director of Customer Centricity & Marketing, and Olumbe Akinkugbe has been appointed as the Executive Director of Digital Exploration & Technical Services.

These appointments reflect President Tinubu’s vision of enhancing the impact of the digital economy sector on the nation’s socio-economic development. The new appointees are expected to deliver exceptional service and contribute to the advancement of the digital landscape under their respective agencies.

It is anticipated that with these strategic appointments, the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy will witness further progress and achievements in the pursuit of a thriving digital future for Nigeria.
