Nigerian international Victor Osimhen is reportedly growing frustrated with the prolonged negotiations between his current club, Napoli, and their suitor, Paris Saint-Germain.

In a surprising twist, the in-demand striker is now said to be open to a potential move to Saudi Arabia.

According to reports from Italian publication Tutto Napoli, Osimhen has instructed his representatives to consider offers from the Middle East as the impasse between Napoli and PSG continues. The French club has been struggling to meet Napoli’s hefty €130 million release clause for the 25-year-old striker.

The report further states that Saudi clubs Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal are set to make another push to acquire Osimhen’s services, with the player eager to have his future resolved before the start of the new season.

Osimhen has emerged as one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, attracting interest from the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool. However, Napoli’s firm stance on his release clause has deterred many potential suitors.

Talks between Napoli and PSG have hit another roadblock, with the French club now required to sell either Goncalo Ramos or Randal Kolo-Muani before proceeding with Osimhen’s signing. Frustrated with the delays, the Nigerian striker is said to be open to a move to Saudi Arabia, despite previously rejecting numerous offers from the region.

Osimhen, who joined Napoli from Lille in 2020 for a club-record fee of €70 million plus €10 million in bonuses, has been in impressive form for the Serie A champions. His 26 league goals in the 2022/23 season helped Napoli clinch their first Scudetto title in over three decades.

While Osimhen’s priority remains to continue his career in Europe and compete for the biggest trophies, the report suggests that the player’s entourage has made it clear to Napoli that he would be willing to consider a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia if the current impasse is not resolved soon.
