Olamide Ogunleye, widely known as Oluwadolarz, has recently shared a troubling incident involving a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.

The popular comedian and budding musician took to Instagram on Sunday night to recount a shocking proposition he received from an unnamed promoter.

In his post, Oluwadolarz disclosed that the influencer suggested he would only assist in promoting his music following a sexual encounter. He quoted the individual as saying, “You will promote my songs and help me top the charts. But first, you need to bend over.”

Oluwadolarz, primarily recognized for his comedic talents, has also ventured into music, creating unique takes on trending songs and collaborating with various artists. Notably, in 2018, he released a reinterpretation of Olamide’s hit “Science Student,” which reportedly did not sit well with the original artist.

Despite this, Olamide had previously shared Oluwadolarz’s rendition of “Wo” on his Instagram, though he did not extend the same courtesy to “Science Student.” In a subsequent interview with Sunday Scoop, Oluwadolarz expressed that his intention was never to offend Olamide.

“When I created my version of ‘Wo,’ Olamide shared it, so I assumed he would appreciate this one as well. I later learned he was unhappy with my take on ‘Science Student,’ and I had my reservations too. However, when I met him at a shoot, he was cordial and said it was nice to meet me,” he explained.

Oluwadolarz speculated that Olamide’s discontent may have arisen because his video highlighted themes that were perhaps not intended to be as visible in the original song. He acknowledged the anti-drug message present in Olamide’s work, stating, “If you watch his video closely, you can see that he was advocating against drug use.”

In earlier statements, Oluwadolarz emphasized that, regardless of his success, he will always regard himself as an emerging artist. Earlier this year, he collaborated with Smile T on a new single titled “Fuchor Me.”
