Nigeria: NiMet Predicts 3-Day Sunny, Hazy Conditions from Saturday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has released its weather forecast, predicting three days of sunny and hazy conditions across Nigeria starting from Saturday. According to NiMet, the northern region will experience sunny skies, while the North Central region and the inland areas of the South will have moderate dust haze. The coastal belt will see early morning mist and fog patches, followed by partly cloudy skies in a hazy atmosphere. Isolated thunderstorms are also expected in some states during the forecast period.

Sunny and Hazy Conditions in the Northern Region
The northern region of Nigeria is expected to have sunny skies throughout the three-day forecast period. This means that residents in this region can expect clear and bright weather conditions.

Moderate Dust Haze in the North Central and Inland Areas of the South
The North Central region and the inland areas of the South will experience moderate dust haze during the forecast period. The visibility in these regions is expected to range from 2km to 5km. Residents in these areas are advised to take precautions and be mindful of reduced visibility caused by the haze.

Early Morning Mist and Fog Patches in the Coastal Belt

NiMet has forecasted the possibility of isolated thunderstorms over parts of Rivers and Bayelsa states during the afternoon and evening hours. Additionally, there are slim prospects of isolated thunderstorms over parts of Imo, Abia, Edo, Lagos, and Delta states.
