In a thrilling encounter at the Diego Maradona Stadium, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen found the back of the net for Napoli, securing a dramatic 2-2 draw against Roma in Serie A action.

Napoli hosted Roma in a crucial league match, with Osimhen leading the attacking line for the Partenopeans. Supported by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the left and Matteo Politano on the right, Osimhen was actively involved in the game from the very beginning, even challenging the goalkeeper early on.

Despite numerous attempts on goal in the first half, both teams failed to break the deadlock. However, the match came alive in the second half. Paulo Dybala opened the scoring for Roma in the 59th minute, but Napoli responded swiftly as Mathias Olivera equalized in the 65th minute. Napoli continued to apply pressure and were rewarded in the 81st minute when Kvaratskhelia was fouled in the penalty box. Osimhen stepped up to take the penalty and confidently placed the ball past Roma’s goalkeeper, Mile Svilar.

However, Napoli’s lead was short-lived as Tammy Abraham netted a late equalizer for Roma in the 89th minute, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

With four games remaining, the result leaves Napoli in ninth place in the Serie A standings, sitting nine points adrift from a Champions League qualification spot.
