These scholarships are specifically intended for students from the state who are pursuing their education in India and Egypt.

The announcement was made by Alhaji Isah Abubakar-Tunga, the State Commissioner of Higher Education, during a press briefing held at his office in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday. Commissioner Abubakar-Tunga provided a detailed breakdown of the allocated funds, stating that N228,150,148:00 has been earmarked for 63 students studying in India, while N81,433,893:80 has been allocated to support 23 students studying in Egypt.
