The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a cautionary statement, urging the public to be cautious of candidates parading printed result slips, as the 2024 UTME results are not available in paper format. Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson for JAMB, emphasized that the results cannot be found on the board’s website, contrary to last year’s process.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Dr. Benjamin reiterated the approved method for checking the UTME results. Candidates are advised to send “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number they used during registration. It is important to note that the SIM card should not be on any data bundle.

Dr. Benjamin further emphasized that candidates should refrain from visiting cybercafés or relying on third-party entities to check their results. The public is urged to exercise caution regarding any candidate presenting a printed result slip, as the results are not currently available in paper format, despite their circulation on social media.

While a significant number of candidates have successfully checked their results through the designated channels, JAMB acknowledges that some candidates may still be facing challenges. In such cases, candidates are advised to follow the correct procedure to obtain their results.

Earlier this week, JAMB announced the release of the 2024 UTME results. Out of the 1,904,189 candidates who took the examination, the results of 64,624 candidates have been withheld for further investigation, according to Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB.
