The Federal Government has approved the implementation of certain recommendations from the long-awaited Oronsaye Report.
The report, which was received twelve years ago, proposes the merger of several ministries and departments to reduce the cost of governance. Addressing concerns about potential job losses, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, assured the public that the government’s primary aim is to enhance efficiency and not to retrench workers.
