Former Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, Hadi Abubakar Sirika, along with his daughter, Fatima, appeared before Justice Sylvanus Orji of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja today, where they entered pleas of not guilty to the charges leveled against them.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned the defendants, accusing them of involvement in fraudulent activities related to a N2.7 billion contract. The charges were read out to both Sirika and his daughter, who vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

Currently, the defense counsel is presenting a bail application on behalf of the defendants, seeking their release pending further legal proceedings.
