Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the President, lauded the fruitful outcomes of President Bola Tinubu’s initiatives as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing her optimism that they will soon reach every community in the nation.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Abuja, she emphasized the inclusive benefits of these initiatives, particularly for women.

Representing the First Lady at the event, Mrs. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, the Mandate Secretary for Women Affairs in the Federal Capital Territory, shared that the country’s economic situation is already showing signs of improvement. She highlighted the positive impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which encompasses various initiatives aimed at providing relief and humanitarian services to the elderly, women, communities, and the girl-child.

Encouraging women to lead by example and unite for the advancement of women’s causes, Senator Tinubu emphasized the importance of collective action to heal the nation. She urged women to embrace their role as healers and prioritize promoting equity, equal rights, and righteousness. Regardless of the challenges faced, she emphasized that women are beacons of light and should shine forth in faith, both within religious institutions and society as a whole.

Dr. Elizabeth Akinadewo, the National Chairperson of WOWICAN (Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria), outlined her administration’s focus on women’s empowerment. She expressed her commitment to improving the lives of women and families, offering support to the oppressed, amplifying the voices of the voiceless, and fostering self-sufficiency through skills development programs. Dr. Akinadewo also mentioned the continued provision of financial assistance to women, enabling them to engage in income-generating activities.

Rev. Emmanuel Ozumba, the National Director for Education, Youth, and Women Development of CAN, acknowledged the pivotal role of women as nation builders and vital contributors to national development. He concluded by offering prayers for wisdom, vision, and inspiration for the new leadership of WOWICAN.
