In recent social media uproar, a self-proclaimed clergyman known as Prophet Metuh has become the subject of ridicule after declaring that the world will come to an end today, Thursday.
The prophet, who claims to have received a divine message, stated that April 25, 2024, holds a certain significance as the date of the impending rapture.
In a widely circulated video on various platforms, Prophet Metuh confidently asserted, “On the 25th of April, the world is going to end. Whether you choose to take this seriously or not is entirely up to you. But make no mistake, the rapture is approaching. I received a clear vision of this date, communicated to me by the Lord Himself, not once, but twice.”
Social media users were quick to criticize and dismiss the prophet’s claims, highlighting that even Jesus Christ Himself was not privy to the precise timing of the rapture. Ufezime Nelson Ubi expressed skepticism, stating, “Please, have a seat. Even our Savior, Jesus Christ, does not possess knowledge of the day when the rapture will occur, assuming it happens at all.”
@jayshualoffixial questioned the prophet’s motive, commenting, “Why did he even mention his own name? What relevance does his name hold in the context of the rapture? Is he seeking attention even in heaven?”
Another user, @tamtamsege, attributed the confusion to a well-funded propaganda campaign, asserting, “The problem lies with those who have blindly followed a fabricated narrative. Now, chaos reigns.”
@Supremebeing241 drew attention to the irony, noting, “The same individuals who sold you religion are busy predicting the weather and enjoying themselves at pubs every other weekend. Yet, this man, with perhaps a meager sum to his name, truly believes that ‘God’ spoke to him? Doesn’t that saying go, ‘They’re just playing around’?”
