Father of Anambra Governor Soludo Passes Away at the Age of 92

Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo, recently experienced a personal loss as his father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, passed away at the age of 92. Pa Soludo reportedly died in the early hours of Monday, November 6, 2023, after a brief illness.

Governor Soludo’s father, popularly known as Ichie Akukananwa 1, lived a fulfilled life and his passing was acknowledged by the governor as the end of a life well-lived. Pa Soludo is survived by seven sons, eight daughters-in-law, 22 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

The news of Pa Soludo’s demise was confirmed by Christian Aburime, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, who stated that an official statement would be released in due course.

It is worth noting that Pa Soludo had previously been kidnapped from his country home in Aguata, Anambra State, but was eventually released after spending some time in the kidnappers’ den.
