The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has identified Agege and Surulere Local Government Areas as the most polluted regions in Lagos, according to its latest Air Quality Index report for October 2024.
In a statement released on its verified X page on Tuesday, LASEPA highlighted that Agege recorded a hazardous air quality rating of 103%, signifying a severe level of pollution detrimental to public health. Surulere followed closely, with a “very unhealthy” rating of 76.1%.
The report underscores the urgent need for measures to improve air quality in these areas to safeguard the health of residents.
