Nigerian-born UFC champion Israel Adesanya has placed a $10,000 bet on Anthony Joshua to win his upcoming IBF heavyweight title fight against Daniel Dubois.

The highly anticipated bout is set for September 21, 2024, at Wembley Stadium in England, where an expected crowd of 96,000 fans will create an electrifying atmosphere. This match marks a significant moment for Dubois, as it will be his first fight at England’s iconic national stadium, adding to the pressure on him and his coach, Don Charles.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Adesanya shared a photo of his bet, which he placed on September 17, 2024. The post included the text, “Dubois, Daniel – Joshua, Anthony,” and featured the caption, “ÒGÚN‼ This fight got beef…grab the #stake sauce.” Adesanya’s wager suggests he believes Joshua will secure victory between the 10th and 12th rounds, with a potential payout of $50,000.

However, Dubois has expressed his determination to knock out Joshua, aiming to deliver only the second knockout defeat of Joshua’s career. The 26-year-old fighter, who refers to himself as “a good destroyer,” stated, “I aim to knock him out. That’s the programme. That’s the mindset; that’s the intention coming into this fight. I’m going to focus my whole life on destroying him.”

Joshua, now 33, is entering the match on a high note, having won his last four fights, including a knockout victory over former UFC champion Francis Ngannou. The clash between these two British heavyweights promises to be an exciting showdown.
