Israeli air strikes on Friday morning targeted two homes in Khan Yunis, Gaza’s primary southern city, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 individuals, according to the territory’s civil defense agency.
The strikes included a devastating attack on the Al-Fara family home, which killed 14 people, while a separate air raid accounted for another six fatalities, as reported by agency spokesman Mahmud Bassal. Medics at the Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the casualties from the Al-Fara home and released the names of those who perished.
In a military statement regarding recent operations, the Israeli military indicated that “a number of terrorists were eliminated from the air and ground” in southern Gaza.
As Israeli forces conduct ongoing operations throughout Gaza, recent weeks have seen a marked escalation in air and ground assaults, particularly in the northern region, where the military claims Hamas militants are regrouping.
