In a heartwarming display of community support, Nigerians have come together to assist the family of Sodiq and Abiodun Olayode, who recently welcomed a set of quadruplets.

The outpouring of generosity has reached over ₦4.2 million in donations, showcasing the nation’s compassion.

The Olayodes, who already had one child, were blessed with the unexpected arrival of two boys and two girls, born at eight months due to a life-threatening pregnancy. The news was first shared on X.com by a colleague of Sodiq, James, who highlighted the family’s challenges, including the staggering 105 diapers needed in just six days.

“The man wan craze. Na so so lament for status every day,” James had initially posted, capturing the overwhelming reality the Olayodes were facing.

However, the tide quickly turned as Nigerians rallied to support the growing family. James later obtained the couple’s permission to share their story and banking details, allowing the public to contribute directly.

“As of 11:03 am they have received ₦4,226,769. Husband and wife are both in awe. They are speechless. God is kind,” James updated, showcasing the surge of generosity from the nation. The Lagos State Government also stepped in, reporting that the quadruplets were the first-ever recorded by the Gbagada General Hospital under the State Social Health Insurance Plan, known as “Ilera Eko.” The agency has pledged to ensure the babies are enrolled in the scheme, providing unhindered medical care.

In a touching interview with Feelrightnewstv, Sodiq expressed gratitude for the support, stating, “We had been blessed with a daughter before the arrival of the quadruplets, and now we seek the government’s assistance in raising our growing family.”

This heartwarming story highlights the power of community and the resilience of the Nigerian spirit, as the nation rallies behind the Olayode family during their joyous yet challenging time.
