In a high-stakes divorce case, Nigerian international footballer Kayode Olarenwaju has filed a petition seeking to dissolve his marriage to estranged wife Ezinne.

The European-based striker is also demanding a staggering $2.5 million in damages from UK-based pastor Tobi Adegboyega, whom he has accused of having an “adulterous affair” with Ezinne.

According to court documents, Olarenwaju has alleged that his wife repeatedly committed adultery with the pastor and other men since their marriage in 2013. He has also accused Ezinne of undermining their joint business ventures and kidnapping their children, who were later rescued by the Department of State Services.

In his cross-petition, Olarenwaju claims that upon returning from Turkey, he found his wife and her mother at their matrimonial home, where he “rained abuses” on them and made “baseless accusations of infidelity and witchcraft.” The footballer further alleges that in the process, he damaged Ezinne’s iPhone 15 Pro-Max.

Ezinne, on the other hand, has filed a separate suit against her husband, accusing him of making unfounded allegations of infidelity and witchcraft. She states that Olarenwaju’s actions damaged her phone beyond repair.

The custody of the couple’s children has also become a contentious issue, with Olarenwaju arguing that his estranged wife is “not bothered with the educational and mental well-being” of the kids. He is seeking full custody, claiming Ezinne’s alleged affair and abduction of the children have put their academic progress at risk.

The high-profile divorce case is scheduled for hearing on September 24, 2024, as the former couple continues their bitter legal battle. The outcome will not only impact their personal lives but also their joint business ventures and the lives of their children.
