London, June 28, 2024 – British heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua has called on his fellow countryman Tyson Fury to get in the ring and fight him sooner rather than later.

The 34-year-old Joshua, who is set to challenge Daniel Dubois for the IBF world title on September 21st at Wembley Stadium, believes the two legendary heavyweights should settle their rivalry while they are both still at the peak of their powers.

“Let’s just get the fight on while we’re fresh – how many wars do I have to have before I get to Fury? Let’s go,” Joshua said in a recent interview.

The long-anticipated showdown between Joshua and the 35-year-old Fury, who will face off against Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch this December, has been discussed for years but has yet to materialize due to failed negotiations.

However, with the recent infusion of investment into boxing from Saudi Arabia, there is newfound hope that the blockbuster undisputed title fight could finally be realized.

“It’s a fight that’s been brewing for a long time,” Joshua acknowledged. “I can’t wait until I’m 50 to fight Fury because I’d have had so many wars, I can’t sit around and wait, I’ve got to continue to fight.”

The potential clash between Joshua and Fury would undoubtedly be one of the biggest and most lucrative heavyweight bouts in recent memory. Both fighters are currently in their prime and remain among the top dogs in the division.

With Joshua’s upcoming title challenge and Fury’s rematch with Usyk on the horizon, the stage could be set for the long-awaited all-British showdown sooner rather than later. Fans will be eagerly anticipating whether the two champions can finally put aside their differences and settle the score in the ring.
