A 39-year-old woman named Lilian Nwarache tragically died after consuming insecticide in Lagos. The incident took place in the Iwaya area of Lagos State. Nwarache had been suffering from a prolonged illness and had been seeking a cure in a church in Iwaya. However, she became frustrated with her condition and consumed a full bottle of insecticide on November 3, 2023.

According to reports, Nwarache allegedly attempted to jump into a canal after ingesting the insecticide, but she was prevented by passers-by. She was then rushed to a hospital, where a doctor confirmed her death.

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the incident and stated that it was reported at the Sabo police station on Friday, around 2 pm. During their investigation, the police found three passports belonging to the deceased, as well as her Samsung phone, in her bag.
