The incident unfolded approximately three hours into EVA Air’s BR08 flight from Taipei to San Francisco. A passenger, feeling uncomfortable due to another passenger’s persistent coughing, decided to move to an unoccupied seat. However, this seat was already assigned to another passenger, leading to a heated argument that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
