In tonight’s highly anticipated final clash against Cote d’Ivoire in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has made two changes to the starting line-up.
Zaidu Sanusi, the left-wing back, is back in the line-up after missing the Super Eagles’ semi-final victory over South Africa due to injury. His return will undoubtedly boost the team’s defensive strength.
Additionally, Samuel Chukwueze has been given the nod over Moses Simon in the starting line-up, adding an attacking threat to the team’s frontline.
In goal, Stanley Nwabali of Chippa United will make his seventh start in the competition, displaying his consistency and reliability throughout the tournament.
The defensive lineup will comprise Ola Aina, William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi, and Calvin Bassey, forming a solid backline to thwart the opposition’s advances.
In the midfield, the duo of Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi will take charge, providing creativity, control, and stability in the middle of the park.
Completing the starting XI are Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen, who will spearhead the team’s attacking efforts and aim to find the back of the net.
