Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been ruled out for a period of approximately one month due to a muscle injury sustained while playing for Egypt. According to Salah’s agent, the injury is more severe than initially anticipated, and he could be sidelined for 21 to 28 days. Instead of being absent for just two games, as initially stated by Egypt, Salah’s agent revealed the extended recovery time.
To maximize his chances of participating in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, Salah will undergo intensive rehabilitation in the UK and rejoin the team once he has fully recovered.
Following Egypt’s final group-stage match, Salah will return to Liverpool for treatment.
Manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking after Liverpool’s victory over Bournemouth, expressed his agreement with Salah completing his rehabilitation under the club’s supervision.
